Newly declassified videos show unexplained flying spheres and strange aerial encounters
The Pentagon released a new batch of declassified UFO files on Thursday, revealing mysterious aerial incidents that US investigators still cannot fully explain.
The newly released documents include 50 previously classified videos and records connected to what the government officially calls “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAPs.
Several of the videos quickly attracted attention online because they appear to show strange flying objects moving near military aircraft and populated areas.
One of the most discussed clips was recorded by the US Coast Guard in April 2024 using infrared sensors. The footage reportedly shows an unknown object flying close to an aircraft over the southeastern United States.
Another video labeled “Syrian UAP instant acceleration” was captured in 2021 by infrared sensors attached to a US military platform.
According to Pentagon records, the video was uploaded to a classified government system in 2024 before later being included in the latest public release.
Pentagon Admits Many UFO Cases Remain Unsolved
The Defense Department’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office reviewed the incidents but said investigators found no evidence directly linking the events to extraterrestrial life.
However, officials admitted that many cases remain unresolved.
One newly released video recorded by US Central Command in 2020 reportedly shows a spherical object flying over a crowded area before suddenly rising higher and disappearing into the sky.
The latest files also include written testimony from a senior US intelligence official who described a shocking encounter involving glowing orange spheres near a helicopter.
According to the report, two massive spheres suddenly appeared beside the aircraft while the official was on duty.
The objects reportedly glowed orange with bright white or yellow centers and illuminated completely.
Fighter jets were later scrambled to investigate the mysterious objects but failed to identify them.
“The spheres we saw earlier turned into something chasing fighter jets, and we were all stunned by what we witnessed,” the official wrote.

UFO Website Draws Massive Global Attention
The Pentagon said public interest in the files has exploded since the government launched its official UFO archive website earlier this year.
A Defense Department spokesperson stated that the WAR.GOV/UFO portal has already received more than one billion views worldwide since its launch on May 8.
The rapid growth in attention reflects increasing public fascination with unexplained military sightings and secret government investigations.
While officials continue insisting there is no confirmed evidence of alien activity, critics argue the growing number of unresolved cases raises serious questions about what military sensors and pilots are encountering.
Some experts believe many sightings may involve advanced drones, secret military technology or atmospheric phenomena rather than extraterrestrial spacecraft.
Others argue the government still lacks clear explanations for several incidents involving unusual flight patterns and extreme acceleration speeds.
The Pentagon said investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena will continue as more reports emerge from military personnel and intelligence agencies.
