Dong-A Ilbo, citing people familiar with the investment banking industry, reported that SK Hynix is planning to sellJapan About 80% of the profits from Kioxia’s shareholding are returned to shareholders in the form of special dividends, amounting to approximately 16 trillion won (US$12.1 billion).
SK Hynix is expected to announce this special dividend plan when it releases its third-quarter financial results on October 28.
It is estimated that SK Hynix made a profit of about 20 trillion won after deducting the original investment amount from the disposal of its investment in Kioxia in the first and second quarters.
